Celebrating Midsummer

This week we celebrate Midsummer, or what Wiccans and many Pagans call, "Litha I've found some interesting facts about how Midsummer has been celebrated - particularly in Europe, where traditions go back to pre-Christian times and have remained in tact in many ways. Plus we'll look at some pretty good ways that we Modern Pagans have adapted Midsummer into our religion. Plus I'll share some Prayers appropriate for this sabbat. And, as you know, June has become the month for Fathers Day, because part of Midsummer has been a celebration of the devine male. But we perhaps don't give enough attention to the devine male in our goddess-centric practices. So, for Litha, let's create a ritual to Honor Fathers at Midsummer! History tells us that the Ancient Gauls marked Midsummer as The Feast of Epona. So we'll talk a bit about Epona, The Mare Goddess. I hope you enjoy this week's show!
