An Interview with Zehara

My guest this week is Zahara Nachash. Zahara is a Belly Dancer and a Snake Charmer. She is a teacher and Performer with a unique brand of Fusion Belly Dance and Snake Charming. She has performed in music videos including Mexican singer Tamara Rodriguzes’ music video “Italian-O". Her commercial credits include Absolut Vodka’s Apple Orient commercial. Additionally, Zehara is a successful theatre producer and artistic director, creating such shows as a “Kalliope’s Karavan,†“Animus,†and “Ancient Voices.†Over the course of her career in belly dance, Zehara has successfully produced and organized over twenty events for various charities around Massachusetts. Finding the need to incorporate her love of world dance and spirituality, in the year 2012 Zehara founded Primal Fusion World Dance, combining a mixture of Aboriginal, African and Middle Eastern dance to create a spirited dance course that helps students release, find healing catharsis and empower themselves through primal energy based movement and meditation.
